In 2025, VMX Visual completed the first phase of a landmark public infrastructure project in Downtown Dubai, supplying and installing 42 custom LUNA P3.9 outdoor LED displays for high-traffic bus stations. Located in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa, this government-approved project required extreme durability against the Middle Eastern heat, high-salinity dust, and strict aesthetic integration with the city's modern architecture.
Technical Solution
The primary challenge for the Dubai Bus Station project was thermal management without the use of energy-intensive air conditioning. VMX Visual engineered a specialized dual-fan ventilation system within the aluminum profile cabinets, optimizing airflow while repositioning vents to prevent sand and seasonal rain ingress.
To combat the intense direct sunlight of the UAE, we utilized 7,000-nit high-efficiency LEDs with anti-oxidation coating and high-temperature resistant potting glue. Every panel features a custom gold-finish decorative trim, applied on-site to ensure a seamless match with the luxury aesthetic of the Downtown Dubai district.
