You're likely familiar with GOB (Glue On Board) technology, which offers basic LED protection. But at VMX Visual, we don't settle for 'good enough.' That's why we've taken the GOB concept and engineered a fundamental upgrade into what we proudly call POD Technology (Protective Optical Display).

💡 How POD Works: The Dual-Layer Protection System

 

Our innovative process provides your LED chips with a truly bulletproof vest, ensuring stability from the inside out:

 

Step 1: The Soft Gel Layer (Internal Stress Absorber)

 

First, a specially formulated elastic soft gel is injected directly between and beneath the tiny LED chips. This unique first encapsulation is the game-changer that sets POD apart:

  • Stress Absorption: This elastic buffer works like a shock absorber, absorbing stress caused by extreme temperature changes (withstanding -30℃ to 70℃) or physical vibration. It actively prevents the LED chip from detaching from the PCB.

  • Stable Bonding: Strong, reliable adhesion ensures LEDs remain firmly connected, drastically reducing the rate of dead pixels even under the harshest operational conditions.

Step 2: The Epoxy Resin Shell (External Hard Shield)

 

Next, a protective outer layer of high-quality GOB epoxy resin is applied on top, creating a rock-solid shell:

  • 8-in-1 Comprehensive Protection: This shell provides an IP68-level defense against the elements: Waterproof, moisture-proof, dust-proof, shockproof, anti-corrosion, anti-blue-light, salt-resistant, and anti-static.
