Bespoke Multi-Scenario LED Display Solution for French Supermarket Chain in Corsica

In March 2026, VMX Visual implemented a comprehensive digital signage solution for a prominent French supermarket chain on the island of Corsica. This project represents VMX Visual's Scenario-Based Design philosophy — integrating five distinct installation styles into a single cohesive retail environment, from a circular hanging indoor display to a coastal-grade outdoor welcome sign.

The client required a turnkey solution that blended creative custom shapes with traditional informative displays — all within a single supermarket environment on a Mediterranean island with specific coastal weather demands. VMX Visual engineered custom mounting hardware for every scenario, from a 3.69m² indoor circular hanging display to a 45° miter-cut L-shape corner cabinet that fits seamlessly against the store's architectural pillars.

No two installation points in this project used identical mounting hardware. Each was designed specifically for the structural and aesthetic requirements of that location within the store — a level of customisation that required close collaboration between the VMX Visual engineering team and the client's store design team before a single panel was produced.

• ▸Creative shape cutting — 45° miter L-shape — Zeus ZU-251 cabinets were custom-cut at 45-degree angles to create seamless, gap-free L-shaped corner displays that align precisely with the store's architectural pillar geometry. The cut edges are finished and sealed to maintain structural integrity and visual continuity at the corner seam.
• ▸6,000 nits outdoor brightness for Mediterranean sun — The Luna LN-391 outdoor panels are rated at 6,000 nits maximum brightness, ensuring full content visibility under direct Mediterranean sunlight. The outdoor welcome sign and hanging signage remain clearly readable at all times of day without brightness adjustment.
• ▸IP66 coastal protection with anti-corrosion PCB treatment — Given the island's salt-laden coastal air, outdoor Luna units were upgraded to IP66 protection and internally treated with anti-corrosion conformal coating on all PCBs. Standard IP65 provides adequate water jet protection but does not address the accelerated oxidation caused by coastal salt spray — the IP66 and conformal coating combination addresses both simultaneously.
• ▸NovaStar TB30 cloud control — all screens managed centrally — All indoor Zeus and outdoor Luna displays are unified under a single NovaStar TB30 cloud control system. Promotional content, pricing, and seasonal campaigns can be updated across all five installation types simultaneously from the supermarket chain's central office — without requiring any on-site visits to individual display units.

• ▸Circular hanging display (3.69m²) — Custom hanging rig with radial cable management. The circular form required fabricated curved transition brackets between standard rectangular cabinet units, with all cable routing concealed within the hanging structure.
• ▸45° L-shape corner displays — Miter-cut Zeus cabinets with custom corner joining hardware. The 45-degree cuts were precision-machined to maintain the full active display area at the corner joint with zero pixel gap.
